COMPREHENSIVE LAWN CARE PROGRAM
General lawn care is performed to enhance turf appearance by strengthening the health of the plant and allowing it to compete against pests. Our personnel will perform inspections on a routine basis as part of our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) activities. Our applications are made to minimize known Targeted Pest Management (TPM) problems with the least amount of pesticides. Materials will be applied by a Certified Pesticide Applicator at manufacturer’s recommended rates to provide pest control consistent with the label.
Crabgrass Control
We will perform one (1) application of pre-emergent herbicide in the early season for Crabgrass, Foxtail, and Annual Bluegrass that will provide approximately 80% control. This application creates a surface soil barrier that when disturbed reduces or eliminates control. Nimble will, Coarse Fescue, Nuts edge, Quack grass, and Orchard Grass are extremely difficult, non-controllable grasses that will not be controlled with this application.
Broadleaf Weed Control
We will perform two (2) applications of post-emergent weed control per growing season. Extremely hard to control weeds such as Oxalis, Speedwell, Spurge, Purslane, Ground Ivy, and Violets may require Additional Applications. (See description of Additional Applications below.)
Turf Fertilization
We will perform four (4) applications of a complete fertilizer treatment to the lawn areas during the season. One of these applications will utilize a mineral based product to provide longer term benefits to the lawn and stimulate root development.
Insect Management
We will perform one (1) insect application for control of grubs in the early season and some species of surface insects. Control is for a limited time and may not prevent damage by wildlife such as moles, raccoons, and skunks. Other highly variable insect problems can be controlled with Additional Applications.
