On the Erasure of Rust
Taking care of rust is detective work. Not sure what we mean? Read on to find out!

When you think of rust, you're likely visualizing some reddish-brown spread on an aging car. An old pipe long since in disuse. Guardrails from a 60's home. All of those imaginations are spot on, but did you know rust doesn't all come from the same thing? That's right!
Rust is the result of a meeting between either iron and oxygen, or iron and water. A metal tool left out in the rain, for one, is a perfect example. Enough exposure, and that sleek silver look will quickly shift to red. Our job isn't to explain to process, though, but how to solve the problem once it's already set in.
It's our responsibility to look for the source. If your rust is coming from that left-out tool, or a leak from a battery, we remove it and wash the affected surfaces clean. Simple. Sweet. What if it isn't so easy, though? What if it's the rebar in your concrete that's allowing for rust stains to seep into the concrete's surface? Then we'll need a different approach. We can clean it off, wash it all away, but it's not possible to remove the source this time. Here, the solution is dedication. A dedication to returning to the job as much as is possible and cleaning it again.
It's a chore, and it's repetitive, but more than worth it for the amazing look you'll be preserving! And, as the customer, you'll always be informed if our visits will be a recurring kind of thing. It's your place, after all, and we're only here to make sure it looks as beautiful as it deserves to.
